My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

12 week old Jade is a little on the shy side, she likes to be held and lays on your shoulder with her head tucked under your chin. She likes to be pet, but wants you to be down at her level and likes to come to you for attention. She enjoys chasing other dogs and playing with squeaky toys and ropes. She has been sleeping on an elevated place bed and likes it. She has cattle dog characteristics as she will nip at the back of your pant leg when chasing you! She isn’t a licker, but likes to look her people in the eyes and will nose touch to your face! She’s a wild one when she’s running around on the floor, but instantly calms down as soon as she’s picked up and just sits there!

She’s great with her foster’s 2 and 6 year old grandchildren - they have held her and played with her without any issues! She doesn’t have any resource guarding issues with food or toys. She’s also starting to get the hang of house training! This girl is SO precious and any family would be SO lucky to have her!!

DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

***Jade is fostered in Virginia, but available for adoption & transport out of state (depending on where). Read below for more information.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our adoption fee is $500 plus health certificate and transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), fecal analysis, spay/neuter for dogs 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. If dog is under 6 months, then $100 of adoption fee is refunded when mandatory spay/neuter is proven to be completed at 6 months of age. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

More about this rescue

Pep's Pals Rescue is committed to rescuing shelter dogs and street dogs and finding them forever homes. All dogs deserve to live their lives showered with the love they deserve.
Pep's Pals is named after Pepper, a lab who gave so much love to the founder of Pep's Pals and her family. We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met. We believe that's how Pepper would want us to carry out our mission.
