My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Allie is fostered in Portage, IN.

This little rolly polly is Allie.  Don't tell her we called her that because she's been dieting and taking her weightloss journey very serious.  She packed on a few pounds at her former home because the little one's started arriving and she then became less of a priority.  Allie is an incredibly sweet mini aussie female that is 8 years young and SHOULD weigh about 28--35 lbs at her ideal weight.

Allie came to us quite overweight so she's been working hard at shedding those extra pounds. Allie has a delightful girl with a sweet personality.  She is in a foster home with dogs of all sizes and ages and does excellent with them.  She hasn't met any kitties, but we think she would do ok with a dog-savvy cat.  Allie is, however, terrified of tiny humans.  Her adoptive home should be one without little kiddos present or that do not visit often. Children over age 12 are recommended.

Allie is accustomed to the good life - she does enjoy her bones, her car rides, her treats and sleeping on the bed in her foster home - as any great princess should.  Allie would love a more laid back retirement home, if you will, where she can continue her walks (exercise) and a little playtime in the back yard.  Allie is crate trained, but does great being left out.  She is potty trained as well.  She has also done well for grooming

Allie is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microcrhipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm purchase for any current or former pets is required to adopt from our rescue.  If you feel this princess is just what you're looking for, please visit our website for more information.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue..  org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
