My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hank is being fostered in Madison WI

This wee little wigglebutt is Hank.  Hank is a male blue merle Aussie mix but we cannot figure out what we think he is mixed with.  What we DO know it that he is DELIGHTFUL!  This 16lb boy is SO happy go lucky with everyone and everything he meets.  Hank is approximately 3 years old and full of love to give someone.  His photos aren't the greatest because his little wigglebutt doesn't stop wiggling! Looking for a pup to bring you joy and laughter all day long?  That is this boy!

Hank is potty trained, crate trained and working on his leash skills and is doing FABULOUSLY.  He is so wiggly and gets so excited at first that he pulls a bit but he is learning quickly.  Hank came to us from a farm in rural MO because his elderly farmer parents were having health issues and he was too much for them.

Hank LOVES other dogs, cats and people.  He would LOVE someone to rough house with and play with in his new home.  While we don't think he must have a fenced in yard, he does get really excited when he sees squirrels on walks and is learning to be calm.  He is actually more praise/affection motivated than food motivated which is so funny to see in an Aussie.  This sweet and silly boy would make a GREAT companion for someone that lives in a smaller space but is still active. Eventhough he is small, he will still need his Aussie energy burned off with physical and mental stimulation to be a happy go lucky boy! Please plan on a minimum of 2 hours a day.

Hank is neutered, negative for all tick borne diseases, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.  If Hank sounds like your boy, please fill out an adoption application by clicking HERE

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
