Naomi is one of four cats TC Paw took in from an elderly owner who could no longer care for them safely. Since Naomi lived mostly outside in her previous home, almost like a barn cat, she was shy and unapproachable in her TC Paw foster home. While her foster family has worked long and patiently with her, Naomi is still not the cuddly, affectionate cat some people want. She has, however, made remarkable progress. Food and treats are the way in with her, and then she surrenders happily to petting on her head, neck, ears, belly, and bum. She has a great rumbly purr. Naomi used to hide, but now she is comfortable all over the house and spends evenings in the living room with her foster family, not on their lap, but nearby. She used to run away, but now she will let you approach, and she’ll even come to you sometimes. She thinks you might have a treat. She has funny little routines, like standing to look out the window and talk in her sweet, tiny voice to something out there in the morning after breakfast. Though she lived outdoors, Naomi hasn’t ever tried to get out. She gets along with other cats. She has soft fur and the prettiest face. Look at those eyes. We know this girl has potential to be a dear pet for a family who’ll give her time and tenderness.
