Alexa was found as a local stray that was TNR'd and released by another group despite having an unusable and painful back leg. When we received her, we immediately scheduled an appointment for amputation so she could live a painfree life. Alexa is a sweet, curious girl who is doing really well adjusting to having 3-legs. We are looking for a home without dogs or small children.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received.
Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. Our main focus is spay /neuter assistance since we do not have a shelter.
We are often times confused with the local county shelter.
We have fosters for both cats and dogs...and do have a feline adoption center inside the PETCO on E State St.
We have monthly adoption events throughout the year.
