My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coco & Chanel
Hello, Hello. Our names are Coco and Chanel, and we are twin sisters. At least we look so much alike that we defy you to tell us apart! We are the very best of friends and were even pregnant together. We were found as stray cats in February, and we went into a foster home to await our kittens' birth. We had an incredible ELEVEN babies between us! Coco is 1.5-years-old and Chanel is 1-year-old; Coco weighs 10 pounds, and Chanel weighs 9. Since returning to HSHC in May, we've been catching up on our sleep, as being a mom is tiring work. It is a relief being spayed now so we will never have to be mothers again. Of course, being named for a fashion icon, we politely use our litterboxes to maintain our beauty standards. We are social butterflies and adore being petted, stroked, spoiled, and "loved-on." We charmed the heck out of the interviewer lady with our good looks and sweet personalities. We recommend that you get us collars with our names on the tag or perhaps different colored collars so that you won't mix us up. Chanel would not want to celebrate her birthday as early as Coco does! 5-14-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
