Introducing Kimba! Kimba is an outgoing and affectionate gentleman. He was nervous when he first got here, but he has since blossomed into the confident kitty he's born to be! He has coexisted well with his sister Bella before, so may be open to another cat in his furever home as long as they're introduced slowly and thoughtfully! Kimba and Bella are not bonded, but could go home together, if you're interested in two! We're unsure about his feelings towards dogs as we don't know if he's ever met one. Kimba is FIV-positive and has had some extensive dental surgery recently, the ins- and outs- of which our team will be happy to discuss with potential adopters. Adopt Kimba today!

To adopt visit us at 1101 Western Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15233 during the Adoption Center Hours below.

Our adoption process is aimed at matching you, your family and your current pets with our animals for adoption. An adoption counselor (or volunteer) will introduce you to our animals in a private meeting room. We will share information about the animal's history and needs, behavior assessment and any volunteer / staff comments.

When you find the right pet for you and your family, the adoption counselor will assist you in completing the proper paperwork. This process includes signing an adoption contract, reviewing medical history and providing proper pet care information. This process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

What you will need in order to adopt:

A valid PA state ID with your current address.

We recommend all members of the household meeting the animal before adopting.

If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dog(s) living in your household, it is recommended that all dogs meet each other at the shelter.

Certain animals require additional steps.

Adoption fee is accepted in cash or credit/debit card. Checks, American Express and Discover are not accepted as payment.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to hold or accept a deposit for animals. Adoptions are approved for the first qualified home.
