My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mr. Waffles, the adorable young guinea pig with a heart as sweet as his name! This little guy is ready to embark on all the adventures that life has to offer. With his youthful energy and curiosity, every day with Mr. Waffles is bound to be filled with excitement and joy. 🧇

While we're still learning about Mr. Waffles' preferences when it comes to other male pigs, one thing's for sure: he thrives with companionship. Bonding him with a another male friend or two is essential for his happiness and well-being. He's on the lookout for a loving family who can provide him with the company he craves.

If you are ready to add Mr. Waffles to your piggy pack, send the following application to this email: victoria@spca.bc.ca

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
