Splotch (ACCT-A-163043) is a 1-year-old male who came in as an owner surrender on 5/4, due to having too many dogs and not being able to provide for them all. Splotch came in with Takeela (ACCT-A-163041).
The owners described Splotch as "high energy, very active.
In-shelter, they've shown signs of heightened fear, anxiety, and stress and would benefit from more dedicated care in a calmer environment. Both have begun settling in to their new surroundings, but Splotch appears to be acclimating more easily; he is foster eligible. The two are not bonded and can be placed separately.
Behavioral Notes:
During Splotch's behavioral assessment on 5/5, staff noted: "Very fearful and nervous at first but opens up with time. Very affectionate once he trusts you. Adult only home due to fear, 12+
Medical Notes:
During Splotch's intake exam on 5/4, staff found him to be in good general health, but fearful.

The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly) is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider. ACCT Philly is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit organization, contracted by the City of Philadelphia to provide animal control services.
