My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

Merle is a handsome young cat who will probably greet you with a yowl and a reaching paw. He likes toys and wrestling. You will probably want some puppy toys for him. He has a loud purr and a slightly wild playing-style usually expected from a younger kitten. Merle is extremely bribe-able. He will tolerate just about anything including bath time for treats.  Merle is good with other high energy cats and loves to get the zoomies!  Merle was born May of 2023, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative and microchipped.  As always our adoption fee for cats/kittens is free will to approved applicants.

Additional adoption info

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
