My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Molly Mae Patrick. I am a full blooded Female Boston Terrier. I am super sweet and a little sassy considering I was not in the best of situations before I was taken in by my foster family… When I go to lay down, I sometimes will be dramatic and “flop” down like a drama queen, and my foster parents think it’s funny/adorable. I have a goofy/quirky personality especially when I’m excited, I wiggle and bound around. I have a slight issue with personal space, lol… just ask my foster dad… Sometimes when I’m super tired and in a deep sleep, my foster mom says I snore like an old man, but not all the time. My training still needs some work, but Im very food driven, so training me should be pretty easy.

Age: 5 yrs DOB 4/4/2019
Weight: 20.3 pounds

House-Trained: work in progress… almost have it down (just have to be diligent on letting me

Crate-Trained: yes, but if it has a blanket or sheet on it, she’ll attempt to pull it into the crate
with her
Leash Skills: does pretty well, but still needs work

Other Animals: gets along with other dogs; cats, unsure
People/Kids: adults, does ok; kids, unsure
Car Rides: does pretty well in the car
Separation: seems to do ok when we leave, just seems a little unhappy at first, especially if you
stay in sight too long, but has only been left in crate when left alone

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.

More about this rescue

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers for many years, we are very familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.
