Perrin
Female spayed
Hound mix
DOB 2/14/23
50lbs
Haaaawwoo, my name is Perrin. I came from Alabama where I spent almost the whole first year of my life in a shelter with my siblings. My ride out here to buffalo and getting settled into my foster home has been a life changing experience.
I'm a bit shy because I never had a soft bed or hooman of my own to call mine. I am learning a lot from my foster fur siblings and my foster mom thinks I would do best to be in a forever home with another doggo so I can learn the ropes and how to live life in a home. I do fine with the resident cat, I’m more curious than anything. Tv, toys, tag with my buddies in the backyard is still all new and I could use someone who has some patience while I learn alongside my fur sibling. A fenced in yard would be best as I’m still really learning what a leash is. I don’t pull but I’m more afraid of where we are going. Patience and treats have been my foster family’s best friend, especially peanut butter
I do best in my crate, I find it to be my safe space. But as I’m starting to wander and gain confidence I find myself snuggled next to my foster mom.. it’s the best when she puts the blanket over me I can sleep really anywhere though and I don’t make a peep when my foster mom has to leave the house and she puts me in my crate.
With learning how a home works I find myself curious with things on the living room coffee table like a cup of water or the remote but my foster mom just says my name and I catch on I shouldn’t be there I am very proud to say I’m potty trained, no accidents even in this new place!
If you let me in, you’ll find that I have the sweet eyes. One look and you’ll see into my soul, I just want a family to call my own. Could it be you?
If you are interested in Perrin, please apply at https://www.nickelcitycaninerescue.org/adopt-a-dog or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved.
