My neighborhood had an ongoing feral cat colony I was sorting out. The little manx mama cat I was feeding had a litter of kittens in the shrubs. I was able to rehome the 3 kittens. I discovered a 4th kitten a few months later and ended up adopting her myself. A second litter of 3 was born before I could trap the mama and spay her but I did get her and 2 of the kittens. They were already 4 months old so I had no luck rehoming them. (I have 5 now n my condo which is too many) It took me over a year to lure Smokey with food and finally tame her enough to bring her in. She's absolutely beautiful. But skittish and very feisty. My manx cat from the first litter attacks her constantly and she spends her life hiding under the bed. she needs a safer, better home with someone who understands the wild nature of feral cats who have been tamed. It will break my heart but she deserves a safer, happier home. and yes, I've tried EVERYTHING to get them to get along. Looking for a cat whisperer here.
