My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*This dog will be transported to Grimsby, Ontario arriving the evening of Friday July 05 IF SHE HAS A COMMITTED ADOPTER*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website.

Evia (Eve) a stunning 1-year-old spayed female German Shorthaired Pointer, is looking for her forever home. Eve was surrendered to rescue in terrible condition. She had a skin infection, ear infection and her ears were caked with ticks (see picture). We are sop grateful that despite this she was overall healthy and her 4DX test was negative. As we have gotten to know her, it is clear that her loving spirit and joy for adventure, Eve is the perfect companion for an active family. She thrives on attention and would make a wonderful hiking, running, or walking buddy. Eve would be best suited for a family that can keep up with her energy levels and provide her with plenty of exercise. She also needs basic training. She is a gentle soul who adores children and gets along famously with both dogs and cats. Her friendly nature and playful demeanor make her an ideal companion for families with kids or other pets. Eve's loving personality shines through in her interactions everyone she meets, making her the perfect addition to any active household. Could your home be the fit for Eve?

Additional adoption info

R.E.B.E.L Dog Rescue is looking for committed adopters, ready to bring a rescue dog into their life. In order to ensure that we find the best homes for our dogs, adoption applicants must go through an adoption approval process. We receive a number of applications for each dog and only one will be chosen as the successful candidate. Candidates are selected based on the dog's needs. Not being selected for the dog that you applied for does not disqualify you from adopting from us in the future.

Go meet their pets

We do our very best to place our dogs into adoptive homes before they arrive into Canada. This ensures that they have a safe and loving place to go after their long journey up North. All dogs adopted through R.E.B.E.L Dog Rescue will receive a 15 day adoption probation period. This period starts the day the dog enters the care of the adopter. This means that the adoptive family has 15 days to determine that dog is a good fit for them. Although it may feel scary to not meet the dog before adopting, the 15 day period allows you to get to know the dog within your home. If you buy a dog off of Kijiji or at a local shelter you may be given a couple hours to meet the dog. We believe that our program's 15 day probation provides much more insight into how he or she will fit into your home, rather than. a brief meet and greet.

More about this rescue

R.E.B.E.L Dog Rescue was founded in 2020 by a small group of young women with one thing is common: a love for dogs. Since establishment, RDR has successfully found forever homed for over 700 dogs. Our mission is to rescue dogs in dire situations and give them a second chance at life through education and empowerment. All of our dogs come the streets and shelters across Texas, where they are experiencing a dog overpopulation crisis. Our team has travelled to the State to see first-hand how we can help and make a difference in the lives of animals.
R.E.B.E.L stands for: rescue, educate, believe, empower and love dogs. We live by these words every day and encourage the dog-loving community to follow suit!
