My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is an adorable 1-1/2 year old female Siberian Husky who was found on Heldman Road in the Wingett Run area of Washington County Ohio on May 1, 2024 and brought to the HSOV by a Good Samaritan that day. Luna was accompanied by two older female Siberian Husky companions (Dusk and Thorn). Luna was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.

Luna has a snow white medium-haired dense coat, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful Husky face with brown eyes, a liver-colored nose, and large erect ears.

These photos of Luna were taken on May 3, 2024 when HSOV Volunteers Emma Dahlgren and Tracy Lynn accompanied all three of the Husky girls outdoors together for their photo sessions. This dynamic trio dearly love each other and seem to be one big happy family. We've kept them together in a large room in our shelter so that they could provide comfort, security and entertainment for each other.

Luna is the youngest of the trio and seemed like the 'baby of the family' in many ways. Emma assisted Luna with her glamour photos, and Luna was quite happy to stay snuggled up as close as possible to Emma. Luna was content to be a 'velcro pup' and soak up attention from Emma ..

Luna weighs 43 lbs and walked fairly well on a leash with a little encouragement from Emma.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Thorn Dusk and Luna were held for three days so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for this awesome trio.
