Lincoln is a 4 year old, 80ish lb, extremely sweet, gentle and handsome Golden/Black Lab mix looking for his new forever family at no fault of his own. His family says:
"I adopted Lincoln when he was just a 6 week old puppy from a family who was eager to get rid of him. At the time I was a single young adult with ample time on my hands to take him on long walks, to the park, and other fun activities. Over the course of the last two years I have gotten married and welcomed our first daughter into the family. With all of these changes Lincoln has not been given the attention he so desperately needs for a dog of his temperment and size. I have little time to take him on long walks and it has become clear that he deserves so much more than I have been able to give him the last year. Lincoln has a semi-sensitive stomach. He can tolerate treats, small quantities of human food like peanut butter and table scraps of lean meats, however, he has been on the royal canine sensitive stomach food since he was 6 months old.
When he was a small puppy Lincoln got into a bush with a bunch of burs and it ended up being a traumatic experience for him getting those out of his thick fur, and I think this caused him to develop his fear for being groomed. This big boy, is the sweetest guy, but dislikes to be brushed in a BIG WAY!
He is trustworthy in the house and is not crated... he is always loose downstairs (doesn't go upstairs) and he leaves the baby toys alone.
He loves to play fetch, tug of war, and have his belly rubbed. He is a huge snuggler, and given his size he makes a REALLY good one"!
Lincoln is said to be good with cats, but GRRAND has not cat tested him.
