My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ghost is an absolute gem of a dog, overflowing with love and affection for people of all ages, especially kids! He's the epitome of a great companion, always ready for cuddles and companionship.

One of Ghost's favorite pastimes is going on car rides - he adores them! Whether it's a quick trip to the store or a longer adventure, Ghost is content to keep you company in the car. His easygoing nature means he's perfectly fine waiting for you while you run errands.

Ghost enjoys his daily walks, runs, and outdoor adventures. He thrives on being active and exploring the world around him.

Ghost is such a sweet boy who loves human attention, long walks, and belly rubs. He recently discovered he also loves carrots, and that he hates broccoli!

Ghost has been very brave while adjusting to a new home environment after losing his previous home through no fault of his own. His foster mom just adores his sweet gray face and his youthful zest for life. Ghost was very gentle with the elderly cat he was initially fostered with.

1.
Submit Application

You can find our application at www.mostlymuttz.org.

2.
Home Check

All persons living in the household are required to be present.

3.
Approve Application

You will receive an approval email from our organization within several days of having your home visit completed.

4.
Meet the Pet

You will be able to adopt at this meeting if it is a match.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary based on dog. We accept cash, PayPal or Venmo. The contract will also be signed at this time.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on your new family member!

Additional adoption info

The Initial review of your application will occur within 72 hours.

Please contact your vet authorizing them to release information to us.
Also, let your references know we’ll be calling.
****Failure to take these steps may delay the process

Once your references have been contacted, someone will contact you to schedule a home visit.
After your home visit you will receive an email informing you of your approval.

Schedule a meet/adoption. You will be able to finalize your adoption of the dog at this meeting.

Please read your contract thoroughly before the meeting.

You will be required to send an update at 2 weeks, 6 months, and annually. The email addresses for those updates will be at the bottom of the contract.

If it has been determined that training is a requirement for the dog you’re adopting this will be noted on the contract. You will be required to submit verification of training completion.

Payment by cash is due at the time of adoption. If you choose to use PayPal, payment should be made prior to the meeting/adoption. You will need to forward the electronic email you receive from PayPal, to mostlymuttz@gmail.com to confirm your payment before the meeting/adoption.

Adoption Fees:

Puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $450 (If not already altered, a $100 deposit is required in addition to fee. This is refunded upon verification of altering.)

Adults (1yo-7yo): $350

Seniors (7+ years old): $250
