Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Get ready to meet Joni, a petite 8-week-old female kitten with short white fur and gorgeous calico markings on her head and tail. When they were only two weeks old, Joni and her sibling were rescued with their mama cat and fostered by a Cat Coalition Volunteer/ Vet Tech. The kittens have been well socialized by their foster family which includes a dog and several older cats! Mama cat has been returned to her owner, Joni’s sibling is spoken for; now it’s Joni’s turn!
Joni is an active little girl with an adorable squeaky meow. Tipping the scales at only 1 lb 10 oz, she’s small but mighty! She enjoys playing, exploring every nook and cranny, and climbing cat towers. Joni is very affectionate; at nap time, she prefers to settle on top of her humans…in a lap, on a chest, around shoulders. If two people are watching TV together, Joni will squeeze between both sets of legs!
Joni has received her age-appropriate vaccines, has been dewormed, and given flea-prevention medication. Of course, she is litter box trained! She is scheduled to be spayed and rabies vaccinated in late June.

We review the apps from every potential adopter to understand the suitability of the home, and to ensure the adopter is a good fit.
2.
Meet the Pet
We arrange for the potential adopter to meet the cat at the foster parent’s home. If successful, the cat can go home with the new family.
3.
Sign Adoption Contract
Our agreement stipulates no declawing, and that we will take the cat back if the adoption doesn’t work out.

More about this rescue
The Directors of Sandhills Cat Coalition, Lisa Pittella, Joan Trombini, and Deb Smith, have been volunteering separately and together in various animal welfare organizations for over 10 years. Most recently, we worked with Moore County Neighborhood Cats, a county committee, where we assisted with the trapping and spay/neuter of over 200 cats in 2017.
When funding for Moore County Neighborhood Cats ceased in late 2017, we founded Sandhills Cat Coalition, a nonprofit 501(c)(3)(pending) charity to continue the important work of helping needy, homeless cats in Moore County.
