My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dotey!

Dotey first came into our care with two sisters in tow. Since then, each of her sisters have found homes. Now it’s Dotey’s turn to find a good home all of her own. She is currently staying with a short-term foster while she waits for the perfect person to come along and fall in love with all that she has to offer.

Dotey’s foster says she is just the sweetest pup. She is a lap dog through and through, despite weighing 54 pounds! She’s always right by your side ready to soak up all the affection you can offer. In fact, her favorite hobbies include, snuggling, getting belly rubs, and giving kisses.

Dotey knows her name well and comes when called. She is also potty and crate trained and has gotten along well with other dogs previously. Dotey has also done well with the older kids in her foster home, and she recently became best friends with her foster`s cat!

Dotey is the perfect package and we`re not sure why she hasn`t been snatched up already. Interested in taking her home? Give us a call and we will help you get in touch with her foster for a meet and greet!

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
