My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Conchita, aka Connie. I don't know my name too well yet, so feel free to change it when you bring me home. I'm approximately 25 lbs (the perfect mid-size doggo if I do say so myself) and came all the way from Texas to Windsor to find my forever home. I'm one of the HAPPIEST dogs you will meet. I'm full of young energy and want to give and receive lots of love!

I'm super playful and will entertain myself for hours with a squeaky/talking toy or tennis ball. I love playing with dogs my size or smaller. I may do okay with a respectful large dog, but we'd need to test that out first. Just please don't allow a dog near me while I'm enjoying a good bone. I really enjoy walks and have got used to a morning and evening walk. I need a bit of training on leash as I like to zig-zag a bit, but I'm very treat motivated and will learn quickly.

I haven't had an accident yet in the house, but my foster parents have been sure to watch me when I'm loose in the house. So you may need to watch me a bit to ensure I'm truly house trained. When my foster parents aren't home I spend time in my crate and don't mind it too much. I also sleep in my crate at night and sleep really well. I love running around in the backyard with my foster siblings.

When I get excited to see someone I tend to jump up, so I will need some training. I can also be a bit wary on walks when I hear noises behind me or when I meet someone new for the first time. I tend to cower a bit, but I warm up within minutes and am jumping up at you to say hello (again, I'll need some training here). My foster parents tell me I'm the bestest girl and deserve a truly wonderful and loving home. If you think you can provide that for me, please fill out an adoption application!

*Please note that there will be an extra $100 additional fee on my adoption price. This fee will help facilitate further transports so we can help save more lives in the future!
