My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jeanie, a sweetheart hailing from the heart of Texas. Her personality is as warm as the southern sun. Jeanie's mellow demeanor and gentle nature make her the perfect companion for quiet evenings and leisurely walks. Although she can be a bit shy at first, once she warms up to you, she's the most loyal friend you'll ever find. Jeanie loves nothing more than to cuddle up close and share in your company. Her friendly and loving nature is infectious, bringing a sense of calm and happiness wherever she goes.

While in Texas, Jeanie participated in dog playgroups where she met many dogs of various sizes and was described as low-mid energy with the other dogs, allows greets and is social with all, playful, soft, submissive, runs around and explores. Jeanie has mastered the art of being good with both people and fellow dogs, making her the life of any gathering.

When Jeanie arrived to Canada, she spent time in a foster home while she was getting ready for adoption. Her foster family tells us that initially Jeanie was shy and they had to go slow, but in a short time (once she felt safe), she was a real delight! One of her favoruite things are to sit in the front window and watch the world go by. Jeanie can be left alone in the home without issue (not destructive), patiently stands to allows her feet to be wiped (if the grass is wet) and is a quiet and mellow lady. We suspect she would do best in an adult home, or a family with mature children.

Adopting Jeanie means gaining a companion who will offer unconditional love and friendship. Her sweet and gentle spirit is sure to bring joy to any home. Let Jeanie show you the true meaning of friendship and love.

*Please note that there will be an additional $100 fee added to Jeanie's adoption price. This helps us facilitate future transports so dogs like Jeanie have a second chance at a wonderful life - thank you for understanding and helping us save more lives!
