Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Onyx! Onyx is a 50 pound, 6-year-old Pointer mix who is an absolute gentleman. Onyx is looking for a forever home to call his own.
Onyx has a sleek and shiny black coat that's bound to turn heads wherever he goes. Pointers are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and friendly nature - and Onyx has got all those qualities and more!
Onyx has been described as super sweet. He loves nothing more than cuddling up with his favorite humans and showering them with love and affection. Onyx is great around other dogs, cats, and kids. He's just a big love bug who wants to be friends with everyone! He just might be the perfect dog.
Onyx loves to play, but sometimes he prefers to sit back and watch the action unfold. Onyx is also potty trained and crate trained, so you won't have to worry about any accidents in the house.
Onyx is ready to put the past behind him and start fresh with a family who will love and cherish him forever. If you're looking for a happy, loving, and well-mannered companion to join your family, look no further than Onyx!
Onyx is currently being fostered in West Chester, OH, and his adoption fee is $275.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of all of our animals and to reduce pet overpopulation in our community, every pet is spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
We are committed to ensuring the safety of our animals for their entire lifetimes so that they will never suffer abuse, neglect or abandonment again.
