Born approximately July 2022 Maple is a female Black Mouth Cur mix seeking a home of her own. Maple is very friendly, eager to please and exceptionally loyal to her person. She’s great on a leash and learns quickly. She is a bit of a shadow to her person and will follow them everything, she doesn’t like raised voices and will become submissive. She is potty trained and knows how to come, sit, lay down, and heel. She is not a big fan of toys or balls but loves to play with other dogs. She will be a great companion to some person or family. We are seeking a home for Maple with a securely fenced yard and if there are kids in the home, over the age of 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

More about this rescue

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
