Meet Cookie. A 1.5 year old 75 lb German Shepard mix.
Cookie is very timid to people, but as soon as she knows you're a friend she warms up!
If you are looking for a companion who is loyal, look no further! Cookie will follow you anywhere and everywhere
Cats and small animals are not recommended as she has shown a prey drive. Small kids are also not recommended due to her timid nature.
Cookie is still learning that her crate is a safe space, but with consistency and a forever home she will figure it out in no time! She is starting to get the hang of her crate and although it takes a couple minutes to settle down, she's been getting better. She is 1 week accident free and appears to be potty trained!! Cookie is spayed and up to date on vaccines and preventatives.
Cookie would do best with a family who is familiar with her breed and is willing to spend some time on training and building her confidence.
Cookie will be hanging out in Lehighton, PA until her forever family comes to meet her.

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption. https://www.facebook.com/PaCaringForK9s/
