My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE NOTE SCOTT IS A DIRECT ADOPTION FROM MEXICO. ONCE ADOPTED HE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO ADOPTER AND IT IS RECOMMENDED SHE BE ENROLLED IN TRAINING CLASSES.

We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption.

During the spay/neuter campaign of our sister rescue SOS el Arca in Mexico. A mama dog was noticed looking for food in the area. She came back looking for more. They knew that there were puppies nearby so she was followed and her litter was found. They were able to trap the puppies and in turn, the mom as well.

Some puppies were found and beautiful Scott was one of them. The shelter is overwhelmed with puppies right now and we need this beautiful baby to come to us to have a life he deserves not one living in a kennel for months and months.

Scott attained an injury in the shelter that resulted in a broken leg. Two pins were inserted, one was removed and one will remain for the rest of his life. He is happy and playful. He is a typical puppy who is energetic and mischievous but with training (mandatory with proof of receipt) he will develop into a beautiful dog. His potty training has begun and will require work from the adopter, crate training and routine will assist greatly with this.

Her ideal home would be one with or without another dog, a fenced in yard backyard to expend his energy as gets a little older. Respectful children and someone who works from home, at least part of the day is a must.

If you feel you would be the right fit for Scott, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.

NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed.

BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

More about this rescue

At All Paws Matter Dog Rescue along with our sister rescue SOS el Arca, we are determined to save as many broken, abused, abandoned to die and neglected street and shelter dogs in Canada and Mexico as we can. Motivated by a deep love of our 4 legged friends, our mandate is to save and improve as many lives as possible. We have seen many tragedies and have witnessed the most horrible cruelties, but we know working together we can make a significance difference. Raising the awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering our 4 legged friends and through the love and support of our wonderful volunteers, supporters and adopters our hope is to rescue, heal and successfully rehome as many of these deserving souls as possible.
