You know Not all gingers are named Ginger and Ginger isn’t a ginger at all
Would you just Look at her Unique Brindle coloring. She’s definitely not your average tiger pup! She was found in San Antonio by a good samaritan who was concerned about her safety. She had a HUGE open gash on her leg. The whole top layer of her skin looked like it had been peeled it was swollen and super infected.
We had to pay to get a trapper she was to afraid of people and could you blame her ? Look at the way most of Texas treats their animals. She was taken into callaghan road animal hospital where she had been treated for her injuries and started on her basic vetting (shots etc). Unfortunately Ginger was positive for anaplasmosis (a tick borne disease) so that had to be treated to.
Just when you think she was going through the ringer 4 weeks into being in her foster home she started showing signs of distemper. At first her symptoms were only discharge of the nose and eyes. Callaghan couldn’t do her distemper test due to her vaccinations being within the 21day range (we would have gotten a false positive due to the vaccines). We basically had to wait it out and see if she got any neurological ticks. Holy cow this poor dog just couldn’t get a break!! She had to be Quarantined so the other pups didn’t catch the airborne sickness. She has currently been in quarantine for a little over 4 weeks now. Unfortunately Ginger just began abdominal twitching on week 4. So now we got our answer, the good news is Ginger is a FIGHTER. We know she is going to over come this and become the best companion for someone who will be able to look past her twitches.
39lbs , LOVES kids, great with both dogs and cats. Great leash manners, not a fan of loud noises.
