Meet April, the adorable 1-year-old, 32-pound female mix from NYCACC!
April is an absolute sweetheart who adores head pets and scratches once she's comfortable. Though initially timid, she quickly warms up to people, resting her head on you for love and pets. She's already mastered "sit" and "look" and is eagerly learning leash manners. While she may stubbornly stand still to greet new friends, her wagging tail reveals her eagerness to say hello.
With her expressive face featuring big ears and sweet puppy eyes, April is irresistibly charming. She's a bit on the curious side, often tilting her head to observe her surroundings. April loves people watching outside and is always curious about every passerby. While she hasn't had the chance to live with another dog in foster care, she previously lived with two others and would likely thrive with a furry sibling with a proper introduction.
April, also known affectionately as "Goober," has a medium energy level and enjoys both active outings and relaxation. She's a delightful mix of puppy spirit and affection, making her the perfect addition to any loving home. We can't wait for April to find her forever family!
April is available for our foster to adopt program as her current foster has upcoming travel!
Vaccinated for rabies, DA2PP, and bordetella. Heartworm negative and microchipped. Spayed. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
To apply for April, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.
Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.
