Meet Pablo!

This sweet senior Frenchie was sadly surrendered as his owner could no longer care for his ongoing medical needs. Common to this breed, he is a high maintenance little man with some ongoing chronic skin allergies and ear infections. He will need longterm treatments and management including regular vet visits, medicated baths and prescription diet at home, and someone who will stay on top of his flare ups to help keep him feeling happy and healthy. He did have advanced glaucoma in one of his eyes that was painful, so needed surgery to remove it to keep him comfortable. Fortunately his other eye was not affected at this time and he still has normal vision in it, but will need to be watched closely for changes.
Despite his health challenges, Pablo is a happy friendly boy, has been getting along well with other dogs and all the people he's met at the shelter and is a fun active snorty guy sure to charm anyone who love the breed. Please submit an application to meet Pablo

Submit Application

Once your application is sent, you will receive an email with instructions/next steps. Please allow our team up to one week to respond.

Approve Application

Our team will perform all relevant veterinary and landlord references and will call with the status of your application.or any questions.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, our staff will call your family, and schedule a time for you to meet the animal of interest.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once all family members meet with our team, and all agree to the match, you can take the animal home at that time.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

You will be sent the adoption paperwork, and further information that is needed to complete the adoption.

Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.

To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
