Meet Dobby: The Spirited Stray with a Heart of Gold

Howdy there, folks! My name's Dobby, and let me tell ya, I've got quite the story to share. Straight outta Erath, Texas, I'm a pint-sized pup with a heart as big as the Lone Star State itself. Thanks to the amazing folks at Care and a kind-hearted volunteer, I hitched a ride all the way to Skokie, courtesy of Southwest Airlines. Talk about a wild ride!

Now, let's talk about yours truly. I may have had a bit of a rough start with a compound fracture of both the tibia and fibula, but I'm as good as new now. And let me tell ya, nothing can keep me down!

First things first, let's talk snuggles. I'm a certified expert in the art of cuddling, especially when it involves cozying up under a blanket with my favorite humans. There's nothing I love more than feeling the warmth of their love and affection.

When it comes to playtime, I'm all about making friends and having a blast. I get along swimmingly with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I'm always up for a game of fetch. But here's the kicker—I've got a bit of a preference for cat toys over dog toys. There's just something about those little stuffed mice with tails that gets my tail wagging!

Now, let's talk about my culinary preferences. I'm a fan of Purina Puppy Chow, but I'm not one to turn down a tasty treat. Raw baby carrots, green beans, and bananas? Count me in!

When I'm not busy playing or snacking, you'll often find me frolicking in the yard with kids or playing hide and seek under the bed. But fair warning—I've got a bit of a yappy streak, and I'm not afraid to let you know when I want attention. Oh, and watch out for my playful nips if you try to walk away without giving me some love!

So, if you're in the market for a spirited companion who's equal parts snuggly and playful, look no further than yours truly, Dobby. With my boundless energy and unwavering love, I'm ready to embark on this wild adventure called life with my forever family. Are you ready to join me?

I have been neutered and microchipped and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
