Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Hunny Bunny.
She is the absolutely sweetest, smartest girl you have ever met.
Hunny was found in the woods near a hunting lodge in the rural town of Prescott. The care taker goes to the lodge every weekend to do maintenance. Two weeks ago she wandered into camp looking for food and water. The maintenance man was very, very worried because he heard coyotes. This is when he contacted a Carlton Rescue - Operation Puppy Love 501c3 . And of course we said yes.
She has had very little human contact. She was eating June bugs (while in foster with Elaine & Steve for a couple days, evidence appeared). Smart girl, very nutritional. We are teaching her crate training, come when called, being held is wonderful, car rides are fun. She has mastered the doggy door for the first time following Schultzie.
Her fur feels soft like a Great Pyrenees. She has spots like a Pointer. All we do know for sure is absolutely adorable! Her front paws are big, but she is growing into them. So sweet. All she wants to do is to be with you or be able to see you.
She is dog social, does not care if the lawn mower is going. Very food motivated. We are feeding 2x daily.
In a couple of weeks she will be ready to head to her new home.
Loyal, sweet, smart, laid back.
If you would like to adopt, please message me and I will send an application. If you would like to sponsor to help with her care: wormer, skin medicine (hot spots, poor nutrition), shampoo, food, etc cashapp $carlrescue, venmo @carla-carlton-1, Zelle 501-247-4186, PayPal glennandcarla@g5i.net.

Additional adoption info
We are very careful with our adoptions for these orphans are in our homes. They are family to us. If it does not feel right, there is probably a reason. The adoption is cancelled.

More about this rescue
My name is Carla Carlton. We (my husband and I) are retired militay. He served in the Air Force for 25 years. We have always done some sort of servicing the community. So, when we got ready to retire, we found a place we wanted to live and bought a home. Well, the town we lived in has/had a high kill shelter. This broke our hearts.
Around this same time, I met a lady who fostered for Friends of Homeless Animals, RI. One day I got a call from FOHA there was a poodle in our shelter and he was on the short list. I went and pulled him. Roie (FOHA), helped set me up to foster and list our orphans from here as a courtesy post. I am not sure how long ago it was, 16-18 years, I think. The rest is history. Through them and Mountain Pet Rescue, CO (and a few others in CO, UT, IA, IL, OR, CA, MS...), we have placed over 2400 dogs/ puppies and cats.
