My story

JONESY MALE 3.5 YRS 28 POUNDS We're not sure what Jonesy's life was like before he was rescued, but seems like it was a ruff one. He was found injured laying in a ditch ( after being hit by a car) His front leg was dislocated and had several other injuries. Thank fully he was found and taken in for some help. He had his front leg fixed and meds to help heal the rest. He came to AJs happy and ready for his next steps to finding a forever home. He still had a slight limp so xrays were taken and there was a suspicious looking area on his rear leg that needed to be further examined. This week he had his follow up, with a new set of xrays, and all though he does have some arthritis. Day to day he has no issue and is happy and healthy. He is on a joint supplement to help promote healthy joints, but no medication. He also has a notch of his ear missing from some prior incident that we dont know anything about. He is a friendly dog who seems to do well with everyone. He is dog friendly, but seems edgy around pushy male dogs. He is overly interested / seems to have a prey drive, so cats (or other small animals) are Not a good fit for him. We have not seen him around children. Loves to sunbath , and could hang out while you do yard work. Or would happily go for a walk with you, then take a nap I'm a comfy spot.

This animal is up to date on all shots, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. They have been heartworm tested (negative) and on prevention. The adoption fee is $275.00 If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an application.

The first step in Adopting one of our animals is to fill out an application on our website. Once approved to adopt we will set up a meet and greet, so any current household animals, family (kids) can all meet with the new foster animal. Our fees are based upon the age of the animal and the medical involved. Dog fees range from $200.00 - $400.00
We also have kittens and their fee is $120.00

We do require all adopters to sign a contract and sign our medical documentation sheet.

More about this rescue

AJ's Search and Rescue Is an animal rescue which was founding in Sept 2016. The rescue is named after our founders first "Foster Failure". Angela aka AJ, fostered over 140 dogs through a previous organization, which lead her to adopting (foster failing) her 125 foster dog (Serchee).

As time went on AJ decided it was time to start yet another business and this time it was a non-profit 501c3 animal rescue. All animals that come through our organization are in foster homes, which allows a new adopter to know more about the animals in many aspects.

Any and all donations and adoption fees go towards proper medical care and feeding all our animals.

We strive to get animals off the streets and into new homes so they can live a wonderful life.
