My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tinker, a senior pup with a heart of gold. His personality is a comforting blend of sweetness, friendliness, and independence. Tinker's gentle, mellow demeanor makes him the perfect companion for calm afternoons and quiet evenings. He loves to cuddle, offering warmth and companionship in the simplest of ways. His independent streak ensures he's never too demanding of your time. Tinker's age has only refined his charm, making him a seasoned companion who knows the value of a good nap and a gentle pat. Adopt Tinker, and let his mellow sweetness fill your home with love.To meet me, please fill out an adoption application on https://www.hartrescue.com/adoption-process

More about this rescue

HART’s board is comprised of Houston-area people who have long been active in dog rescue, and who want to make a difference in outcomes for stray dogs and those surrendered to local shelters. We are a kennel-based system built on a beautiful property in Tomball, Texas.

Rescued dogs are fully vetted and, when ready, adopted out on-site at the facility, or through meetings with fosters. HART also coordinates with shelters in the northern U.S. to find homes for dogs that aren’t adopted locally. Additionally, HART provides information, education and community advocacy to improve animal welfare, via adoption and fundraising events, visits to schools, and through social media. We are working with a dedicated group of volunteers to reaffirm that Houston has a terrific HART.
