My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rogan is a 1-year-old male Shepherd/Sharpei mix that weighs 39 pounds.  He came to us as an owner surrender due to his owner’s health issues.  Rogan is one fun pup.  He looks like a chunky mini sharpei with the wrinkles and small ears.  He walks well on leash and has a medium to high energy level.  He is crate trained and knows a few commands such as “sit and stay.”  He is also very smart and always happy.  He is generally easy-going and enjoys car rides, toys, and walking.  Rogan is still very puppy-like and will jump on you when he sees you. And in true puppy fashion he is a chewer. Rogan is dog friendly.  In fact, he has struck up a bro-mance with puppy Knight in the next-door kennel.  As always, you must schedule a meet and greet with your dogs to make sure everyone gets along.  Compatibility with cats and children is unknown.  Rogan will make you laugh with his antics.  He will do something mischievous and then smile angelically at you.   Rogan is available for adoption. Rogan is neutered, updated on shots, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Rogan.  His adoption fee is $160.

Written by Rogan's foster:
A “silly” dog has spent too long at PAS. If you ever wanted a playful puppy, house trained now is your chance, Rogan still needs a home. He is great fun, needs some brushing up on his manners but he has not had any accidents. He can be described as great mix of cuddling, playing, exploring and adventuring. He has been to Lowe's, the beach, the car wash, and more. He loves everyone he meets along way. He has the softest coat and is the perfect size, not too big and not tiny. Enough from me, his foster, let's see what Rogan has to say...

I have been at the shelter for a few weeks, I am with a foster and his dog right now. We have explored a great deal. I love the yard, running, playing and meeting other dogs. I enjoy treat, toys and lounging around too. I will follow you, but I won't crowd you. It's the best of both worlds, I'll be there for you but we'll both have some space. Many things are new to me, car rides, vacuums, and shopping in stores, I've been a trooper, no accidents, no car sickness. I really enjoy people, running in the yard, zoomies and walks in the park. I'm pretty good on the leash. This week I am with a foster enjoying home life. I can meet you any day. I love people and dogs; I would love a sibling and just remember I love to play. So, schedule a time to meet me and your family. You'll be glad you did; I am a happy, 'silly', handsome dog.

Love Rogan
