This sweet boy came to us as a stray with two of his siblings. He was terrified! We put him in a foster home with another cat, Blake Shelton, in hopes it would help him blossom with an emotional support friend. Oh man did that work!!! Now, Alvin and Blake are inseparable. Without Blake, Alvin is fearful and timid. With Blake, he is more confident and loving. Because of this, they are a bonded pair. These cuties would jump in front of a train for each other!!

Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) was incorporated in 2010 with our focus being spay neuter assistance. In Noovember of 2013 SAMS purchased property and now operates as a no-kill shelter in Peoria County. We work closely with local and surrounding county shelters and obtain healthy and adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized for lack of space. SAMS receives no funding from government, state, county or municiple entities and are funded solelyby fundraising and donations. You can help by volunteering, adopting and donating to our cause.
