Atlas is a 2-year old Flamepoint Siamese who was blocked and was to be euthanized because his owners couldn’t afford the unblocking surgery. A doctor graciously took him in and did the surgery herself, and I agreed to foster and find a home for her. He has been neutered after surgery. He has finished his rounds of antibiotics and other medications and is urinating on his own in the litter box with no problems. Currently he is on UR, a urinary diet for cats to keep his nutrients up and prevent anymore urinary stones or crystals. As of right now, he has a small healing hotspot but otherwise no medical issues at this time. He’s a hilarious energetic cat that gets along so well with my large dog and is quite friendly towards our senior female cat in the home. The biggest thing for me is that Atlas’ new home is one that can afford his Urinary food and any health issues that might come up. The last thing I want is another surrender or euthanasia situation for this handsome young guy.
