My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lizzy has a beautifully complex and diverse personality. She possesses a wide range of facets that cannot be adequately understood or described by a single quaility or trait.

Incredibly sweet, sensitive and sometimes shy, she will quickly steal your heart. You can see the depth of her soul buried in her eyes and in the way she looks at you. Lizzy wants to make you her everything and craves getting that loyalty in return.
Another layer of her personlity is her intelligence. She has mastered many of the basics and is eager to learn and to please. Inside a home she has done well, however due to her extended stay at the shelter she will need someone who is patience and understanding while she decompresses.

Lizzy would most likely do best in a quiet home without a bunch of people in and ou or small children. She will sometimes gets excited on walks when she sees other dogs or bicycles on walks, but is generally easily redirected with vocal commands and a treat. In playgroups at the shelter she has not enjoyed the company of other dogs and would do best in a home free of other pets. Her favorite pastime is playing fetch in a yard followed by some snuggles and maybe a bone to chew on. She is also a great hiking buddy, ready to take on any challenge.

With an endless amount of love to give, Lizzy will be a once and a lifetime dog to her new family.
