Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lulu
Lulu is an adult 5 year old Pointer mix. Her family adopted her in 2019 and was returned because they had a baby and Lulu just did not understand. Of course she is sad, guarded and trying to figure out what happened and why her family left her. We are working with Lulu, but she could use a placement in a patient and saavy home to help her be a happy dog again.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Go to our website at www.humanesocietyofcalvertcounty.org and fill out an application. Once we do our reviews, we will call you for a meet.

2.
Meet the Pet

We will do a background check, home check using Google Earth and ensure that the application would be a good fit for our dog.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If everything checks out and you don't have other dogs requiring a meet & greet be scheduled, you will be able to adopt the dog that day.

Additional adoption info

If a potential adopter has other animals in the household, we will schedule a meet & greet to ensure that all get along.

We are a no-kill 501 (c)( 3) non-profit that rescues dogs at risk of euthanasia. We bring them in, fully vet them, microchip them and find them their forever homes.
