My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable Roxy is a stunning senior beauty with a sweet, gentle personality. Currently thriving in her foster home, she’s showing off her gentle manners, loves a cozy lap when invited, and even gets the cutest little zoomies at night.

She’s wonderful with kids and other cats, but dogs just aren’t her cup of tea. What she is looking for is a peaceful, loving forever home where she can spend her days cuddled up with her people and enjoying the comfort she deserves.

Her foster says she’s obsessed with her kitty fountain—she treats it like her own fancy water bar, always stopping by for a little sip before curling up for a nap.

Roxy is polite, affectionate, and oh-so-special. Could she be your new best friend? To learn more about her or set up a meet and greet, reach out to our foster team at foster@orphansofthestorm.org.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
