My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sammy.   56 Pounds Approx 10 years  10 months.     $100.00

Sammy needs a hero that sees what a senior dog has to offer. They may not be in their forever home too long, but imagine giving a dog the best last few years of their life? Don’t we all deserve that?

Sammy was severely matted and covered in fleas. He had an eye infection. Sammy does not deserve any of this. We have him shaved down and getting the medical treatment he needed. He is in a loving foster home, and she has many great things to say about him.

“Sammy has a great disposition; he is a very good boy. Everyone who has spent time with him (the groomer and my friends) says the same thing- that he is GREAT!

He likes leisurely walks, hugs and scratches. He like long naps in house and short naps in sunny spots. He like to play tug and likes to chase his ball. He just wants to be with his person"

Health wise:
Foster believes that he would benefit from some kind of maintenance such as meds or chiropractic or acupuncture for his hip and spine joints, He is taking a glucosamine supplement right now. His daily walks are starting to build up his muscle tone and strength. He can sometimes drag his back paw on occasion. (as if his hip is dropping a little on the walk) He was skin and bones when he was rescued, with no muscle on him and he had not been getting any exercise. He needs to build up his strength. The foster has explored Eastern medicine with her own dog and that could be a way to help Sammy with his hip and spine. If you are interested the Foster would be happy to share who she uses.

She said that in the 3 weeks she has had Sammy he has made some great progress and is blossoming for the neglect and insecurity he has faced.
