My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is a beautiful 65 lb. Walker Hound who’s led a not-so-beautiful life. She was picked up one stormy night by a Good Samaritan on a busy highway with her 9 puppies! Luna girl is definitely a house potato, who has enjoyed being in a foster home with other animals, hanging on the couch and cuddling in the bed. She is NOT an exclusively yard dog and has never been tied outside. Luna is house trained to a doggie door leading to a fenced yard, but may need to be taught how to ask to go out. She’s not bad on a leash, is spayed and microchipped. Estimated age is 3 years. She has no health problems, but does have a callous on each hip from laying on concrete for years. She’s good with dogs, cats, kids and all adults. She LOVES to put that hound nose to action at the Carden Farms Dog Park and does very well the others there. For more information or for a meet and greet with Luna, please text 865-368-3761.

Additional adoption info

Prior to adoption, all animals are up to date on vaccinations and tests, and are spay/neutered, age dependent. Anderson County Animal Rescue Foundation also facilitates adoptions for animals available through other animal rescues and shelters we work with. Each has their own adoption process and forms, but all are similar.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a physical facility and available animals posted may be in different locations. If you are interested in meeting one of the pets we post, please send an email with your contact phone number and we will be happy to facilitate and arrange a convenient meeting place, date and time.
