My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ellie Alleya is looking for the best home (again)! She was originally rescued by Kitten Rescue after being found in an alley all alone when she was just 4 weeks old. She was quickly adopted and loved.

Unfortunately through no fault of her own she finds herself back at Kitten Rescue in need of a new place to call home.

Beautiful Ellie is spunky, cautious and curious with a sweet and sassy attitude. The perfect home for Ellie would be with Kleo (KRLA-A-86749), who has very similar markings and who she had been living with prior to being returned. They look like they could be from the same litter, but they’re not. Ellie’s ideal adopted should be patient and able to provide Ellie and Kleo a safe space (no young children please) where they can come out of their shells and feel confident and secure. It would be best if they were the only 2 cats in the house.
Ellie loves to play with Kleo, hang out on her window hammock, and snack on her Churos! Please consider adopting Ellie and Kleo.

Additional adoption info

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.

To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitten Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. First, we ask that you complete our Adoption Questionnaire at kittenrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/. You can complete the form online or you may stop by a weekly adoption event to complete form in person. Second, a home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

The Kitten Rescue adoption fee is $150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, and $100 for each additional kitten or cat to the same household ($250 if you adopt a pair). Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.

All of our cats have already been:
Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated – with at least one FVRCP vaccination
Treated for fleas
Dewormed
Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
Microchipped

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
