My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winnie is a sweet, petite fawn girl who is around 2 yrs old. She was found as a stray in the country, likely dumped by her previous owners. She was never reclaimed. You can tell the poor girl has already been bred a few times. Pretty sad considering she is still very puppylike herself. In spite of this, she has a great personality, she's all wags and wiggles. Even when she sits, her bum keeps on wiggling against the floor. Every time you ask her to sit she automatically gives the paw. She knows basic commands, and when she lies down she rolls over! It's so cute! She comes when called. She's an all around good girl. Winnie has a very small heart murmur but the vet is not worried about this since it does not affect her. She was spayed without any problems. Many boxers live happy, normal lives with this condition. She has also been vaccinated, dewormed and had a thourough health exam. She was treated with antibiotics for a skin infection that she had, that has cleared up nicely. Winnie loves her foster brother Casper (who you can see here CASPER and would love to go to a home with him but it is not necessary ) and gets along best with more mellow, passive dogs. She needs a slow introduction since she does not like it when dogs are too jumpy with her, or if they initiate play right away. Winnie is one of our most affectionate boxers and loves to cuddle and have her belly rubbed. She also is GREAT at fetch!
