Dovey’s story is one of courage, love, and second chances. When she was found, her life was in danger — and she was pregnant. Thankfully, Magicats stepped in just in time to give her the safety and care she needed. With our help, Dovey was able to rediscover what it means to feel safe and loved.
Now about 2½ years old, Dovey has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate young cat. Her foster mom lovingly calls her “Lovey Dovey." She enjoys being softly caressed and told how beautiful she is, and she’ll reward that kindness with purrs and loving looks. She’s playful when the mood strikes but is mostly laid-back and content to relax near her favorite window, watching birds and squirrels at the feeder.
Dovey gets along well with other cats after careful introductions and currently shares her foster home with both kittens and adult cats. She would do best in a calm, quiet home — one without dogs or very young children. Older teens or adults who can give her space and patience as she adjusts would be ideal.
New environments and people can make Dovey a little nervous at first, but with understanding and time, she settles in beautifully. Once she feels safe, her sweet and loving nature shines through.
Dovey is ready to find her forever home — a peaceful place where she can feel secure, loved, and cherished for the wonderful companion she is.

We require a signed application that is reviewed by our volunteers.
Adopter must agree that the pet will be Inside Only and must have permission from their landlord if they are renting.
Before adoption all of our pets are thoroughly examined by one of our vets. They have received a rabies shot, series of vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV and are always spayed or neutered.

We are a small and devoted group of volunteers who started this organization in 2010. Our goal is to find homes for as many cats and kittens as we are physically and financially able to do. We have no facility and all of our pets are cared for in loving foster homes. We do as much as we can with the funds from adoption fees, donations and contributions from all of our volunteers.
