My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

William (born 5/8/2012) is a 10 ½ pound, Maltese / Yorkshire Terrier with a splash of Havanese, his fur is soft and does not shed and most of all, he likes to stick his tongue out! If you want a dog that is housebroken, likes other dogs, just loves to hang with you and give you kisses, then William is the one!

We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us.
