Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Imagine that you're a gorgeous guy with a most wonderful fluffy coat. And then you end up shaved all over except head and tail and bloomers. How embarrassing! So the thing to do is avoid cameras, right?
And that is why we don't have very good pictures of Wink who will be an amazingly beautiful boy when his luscious coat grows out.
We don't know how Wink ended up lost and alone in the middle of winter. Did his family dump him? Or did they move away? Or did he go out for a stroll and get lost? Because Wink definitely did have a family. He loves to be picked up and carried around. He loves it so much that when you put him down he will stretch up his paws on your legs and ask to come up again. He was fine being pet by older kids, as if he'd known kids his whole life.
He's probably just a year or two old. He was out on his own for long enough that he is now desperate for love, pets, cuddles, sleeping snuggled up by your arm all night. And so he is easily overstimulated. He wants to be pet so bad but if you pet too much, he will lay his teeth on you arm or smack with a paw, no nails out. So no little kids. He will take a little bit to adjust to the wonderful touch of hands again and then he will be fine. It will help for his fur to grow out too because now his bare skin is extra sensitive.
He seems to be totally fine with the mellow dog in the foster home as long as the dog stays out of his personal space, and the other cats don't bother him at all. New to the foster home, he is just getting to know the cats and they do fine together.
Winki is a wonderful sweetheart who never wants to be homeless again and will give you lots of love to show how much he cares.
