My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTERED IN: Lockport, IL 60441
ESTIMATED DOB: 08/2023
COLOR/BREED: Tabby and White Shorthair
KIDS: Older
DOGS: No
CATS: Yes

HISTORY:
Lilith came to us from an intake shelter in Chicago.

ABOUT:
Lilith spent the early part of her life in an animal shelter, so she is still learning the ways of the world. Lilith has slowly been gaining confidence, but still has room to grow with a patient and loving family. She likes to be around people but can be easily startled by fast movements. She also likes to be able to approach you for any attention, not the other way around. She often chooses to be where everyone is, but prefers to sit on the sidelines. Lilith would be a great work-from-home companion as she is not the type to try to help you with your reports or join your meetings.

Lilith is under a year old, so she loves to play with toys like any young cat. She loves springs and wand toys, and also other things that aren’t necessarily toys like blind cords and phone chargers. She also loves to carry small toys around in her mouth.

Lilith loves treats like churu tubes which will be a great way for a future home to build a relationship and earn her trust. Lilith is learning to appreciate pets and attention, but she prefers them when she is feeling brave enough to ask for them.

Lilith is not used to living in a home with children, and she will do best in homes with older children or an adult only home. Lilith has done great with the resident cats after she learned they meant her no harm and now loves to run and chase them. Lilith has not been fostered with dogs, and because she is easily startled we think that dog-free homes would be best for her.

Lilith’s ideal home will be patient and kind as she learns to adapt to a new home. Allowing her to become comfortable on her own terms and not trying to force anything upon her. Her family will be able to watch her blossom and grow. Her foster family says it feels like you won the lottery when she jumps up and asks for attention. Lilith will thrive in a calm and predictable home. A resident friendly, welcoming, outgoing cat will likely help her build confidence faster.
