Meet Pink Floyd, a charming and affectionate cat looking for his forever home. This delightful feline loves to be around people and enjoys both cuddling and occasional playtime. He has a curious nature and enjoys sitting by the window, listening to sounds of the birds outside. Pink Floyd is a sweet and loving cat who loves to spend time with people. He can even be held like a baby!

This cat is FIV+ and will live a normal healthy and long life when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exams (like any cat). As FIV+ is not transmittable between neutered/spayed cats under normal circumstances, we are happy for FIV+ cats to mingle with FIV- cats in their adoptive homes (although Pink Floyd would prefer to be the only cat).

Pink Floyd was rescued with dental issues and had surgery. We would be thrilled for a potential adopter to provide a larger adoption donation (between $250 and $400 total) and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible. It's great he got his surgery, because most of his teeth were removed, which means he likely won't need another dental in the future (most cats need a dental at some point in their lives).

This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.

By appointment only. We offer to drive prospective adoptive prospects to the foster home. We also deliver pets to their new homes.

More about this rescue

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
