My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful, Calm, Sweet

See You Next Time is building trust, one headbutt at a time!

See You’s favorite time of day is “floor time” with her foster, where she climbs onto her belly and settles in for pets and a Churu treat. It’s her love language. Her purr is deep and rumbly, and she’ll nuzzle your hand when she wants a little more affection.

She won't run up to greet you, and if you try to approach her while standing, she’ll make herself scarce. But if you sit down and slow things down, she’ll often come right over: curious, calm, and open to connection.

We don’t know much about her history, but See You is learning what safety feels like. With a calm, patient person who’s willing to meet her where she’s at, we think she’ll keep growing, and one day, she just might be brave enough to walk right up to you, even if you’re on your feet.

When it’s playtime, her confidence shines. She zooms through her tunnel at night with joyful bursts of energy, showing that there’s a playful, happy cat inside. She just needs a little time and space to let it out.

See You Next Time is looking for a peaceful home with someone who understands that trust takes time, and that some of the best bonds are built slowly, on the floor, with soft words and snacks.

Think you might be her person? Get in touch at adopt@austinpetsalive.org

See You Next Time has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. See You Next Time can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about See You Next Time’s care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
