0722191 - Leo is a sweet, quiet, and independent boy with a gentle heart who’s patiently waiting for his forever home. Leo is dog-selective, but not reactive—making him a great fit for apartment or condo living. He enjoys outdoor time, whether it’s playing fetch, tug-of-war, or going for a walk. He walks well on leash, especially with the right harness, though he still pulls a little now and then. Leo is also fully potty trained but may need a bit of encouragement to go while on leash. He loves checking out whatever is going on since he's very curious about his surroundings but he doesn't always follow you around and doesn't have separation anxiety.
He has a high food drive, which makes him love training! However, Leo is currently undergoing training for resource guarding and has also started some medications for his thyroid and behavior. Because of this, Leo would do best in a home without small children who may not yet understand how to respect his space during mealtimes.
He’s the kind of companion who doesn’t demand constant attention but enjoys being part of your world. If you're looking for a loyal, low-key buddy with a big heart and a little bit of quirky charm, Leo might just be the one for you. Give this sweet boy the loving home he deserves—he’s been waiting long enough. To adopt him complete an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions!
