Their adoption process
Our pets' adoption fee includes the cost of spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, and heartworm testing for dogs and FeLV/FIV testing for cats. An adoption application and contract are required.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens less than 6 months old-$75.00
Cats older than 6 months old-$50.00
Puppies less than 6 months old-$100.00
Dogs older than 6 months old-$75.00

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Fill out our online adoption application using this link: https://form.jotform.com/223123324475146
- Approve Application
- We review your application & verify that your current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and current on heartworm prevention (dogs only).
- Meet the Pet
- If approved, we notify you within 1-3 days and set up a meeting between you and the pet you've chosen.
- Pay Fee
- The adoption fee for a dog is $75. The adoption fee for a cat is $50.
- Take the Pet Home
- We require an adoption contract which states that you'll care for the pet properly & return him/her to us if you can no longer keep him/her.

We're a very small shelter operated by the City of Hernando. We are physically located at 1203 Nesbit Dr, Nesbit Ms 38651
We are very dedicated to providing the very best care for our city's homeless pets and committed to educating the public about how to properly care for the animals in their families. We do all we can to keep pets in homes and out of the shelter. Because the south has such an extreme pet overpopulation problem, we try to relieve some of that pressure by transporting as many animals as possible to northern humane societies and waiting adopters.
